Who will be shooting my wedding?

As a collective, we come as a team and your wedding will be a combo of our squad. The faces you see on our site are the incredible artists who will capture your wedding story.

Why just vows?

Just so we’re clear, we absolutely love your vows. They’re the foundation of your story and all our films. We focus on a ‘vows-only’ approach because to have an uncut, real-time film of the entire ceremony would necessitate multiple cameras, additional shooters, assistants, and extra gear. Ultimately, we feel all of those add-ons only creates stress and distraction for our couples.

Hours of coverage

We have found that we do our best work within 7 to 9 hours, and typically that covers most of the wedding day events. If you would like us to stay a little longer, let us know and we’ll get you a quote asap.

How do you describe your style?

Our approach is both photojournalistic and traditional, with a splash of movement and fun. We love capturing real moments as they happen, but occasionally give direction when needed. We also love motion and try to have you walk into beautiful spaces as you enjoy time with one another.

Why do we give you a free engagement shoot with photography?

An engagement session is a great idea for so many reasons! Not only does the session allow us to get to know each other in preparation for your wedding day, but it gives you a chance to warm up to being in front of the camera, which most couples have never done before. So whether you’re into a session outdoors or an intimate shoot in your own home, this is our gift to you.

Why do you offer a package with only one filmmaker and one photographer?

Every wedding is unique and so are the budgets they come with. And just to be clear, although the RVL duo package is not an alternative to the quality of our work, it does provide an entry point for our couples who want their photography and film curated together. Rest assured, we bring our A-game, our allstars, and our dancing shoes no matter what package you choose.

pricing

How do I book?

To reserve your wedding date, we’ll need a signed contract and 20% non-refundable deposit. If your wedding requires travel, we will also need those expenses paid at the time of booking to ensure travel costs are booked as quoted.

What is your payment schedule?

We keep this part simple. 20% + travel is due at the time of booking and the final balance is due two weeks before your wedding date.

Do you craft custom packages?

Our Film, Photo, and RVL Collective packages are base rates with the ability to add extra products, filmmakers, photographers, etc. Most weddings end up with a custom package of some sort, so let’s get creative!

How do we pay?

We accept payments of credit, debit, venmo or check. Please note that any credit charge will require a 3% fee for processing.

deliverables

What is your turnaround time?

Our craft requires focus in the edit suite, and we’ve found that a 3-4 month timeline allots us the perfect amount of time to get it right.

Who owns the copyright?

While we retain the copyright of the images and video from your wedding day, our contract gives personal print and media permissions to our clients for any non-commercial usage. If you have any concerns about privacy, please let us know so that we can accommodate for that.

What resolution are photos and video delivered in?

We deliver photographs in the maximum resolution available for processing and cropping. This means that most are around 20 megapixels, more than enough for most print projects. For video, we currently offer delivery at full HD 1920 x 1080 or 4K for an additional fee.

How will we receive our wedding photographs and video?

All items are delivered digitally so you can download and share on any device or social platform.

travel

Do you travel?

Absolutely! Here’s our proposal — our rate is our rate, no matter the place. However, we do require our travel expenses and accommodations to be covered up front. All we need are plane tickets, a roof over our head (thatch, tile, whatev) for a couple of nights, and transport to/from the airport. Let’s talk, let’s fly!

Do you charge travel fees within California?

If your wedding is within 2hrs from Los Angeles there are no additional travel fees. If you are outside the SoCal area, then we can send you a quote based on venue location!

What are your travel rates?

All our rates are based on travel from Los Angeles, California. This could include flights, uber, subway, rental car, and accommodations. We also require an additional $500 interstate commissions fee and $1000 international commissions fee for the time spent traveling away from other weddings.

How many nights accomodation do you need?

Travel can cause unforeseen hiccups and delays, so we take a cautious approach for our own schedules to arrive prior to the wedding date.

West Coast = 2 nights
East Coast = 3 nights
International = 4-5 nights
